I constructed this costume of individual panes of red fabric in singular shapes that attached to various parts of a fire escape. The performance was done in winter for the blue light.. The action of fleeing down the fire escape caused the panels to become taut. There is a see-thru panel that holds one arm next to my body to further the lack the ability to escape.
